Semi-detached twin homes built in 1906 in South Philadelphia? Take a late Saturday afternoon walk through beautiful Girard Estate, a rare planned community of 481 homes. All the houses were designed in a variety of architectural styles including Tudor Revival and Spanish Colonial/Mission by Philadelphia architects James H. Windrim and his son, John Torrey Windrim. We will explore Stephen Girard’s country retreat and his legacy in South Philly. Walk will end at Brewery ARS (1927-29 West Passyunk Avenue) where we can continue the conversation over a drink.
