WALK LEADERS: Judith Robinson and David W Feldman
MEETING PLACE: SE corner of 33rd and Oxford streets.
Free. Rain or shine. All are welcome.

Wow, so many new developments in East Fairmount Park and Strawberry Mansion. We will meet up at the SE corner of 33rd & Oxford streets. We will chat about the lay of the land, how development is growing from Brewerytown, we will visit the The Discovery Center an adaptive reuse of the East Park Reservoir. As we move west on 33rd Street, we will see new developments (PHA), a new Septa bus route, and neighborhood history. We will also talk about new developments at Mander Recreation Center.

David’s family lived in the neighborhood in the first half of the 20th century, and Judith’s has been there since the mid-20th century. Together they bring a century of history in Strawberry Mansion.

We will arrive at Historic Strawberry Mansion in time for a free concert with the Philadelphia Orchestra at 3pm.

Walk Notes:
